Mothers! We are excited celebrate you this coming Mother’s Day Weekend! We are also thrilled to change it up a bit. Thanks to one of our fantastic mothers, we have an exciting new partner! Our Mother’s Day Event will be hosted by the Enoch Pratt Central Library on Saturday, May 11, from 2:30pm – 5pm. We can’t thank the Enoch Pratt team enough for working to make this a beautiful Mother’s Day experience. Also, stay tuned for some additional sponsors coming our way!
In addition to the fantastic fellowship, food, and fun Mother’s Day gifts, we have a few surprises for you this year. We will be joined by Krystal Gonzalez, as our featured speaker.
“Krystal Gonzalez is a wife, mother of four and a dynamic change maker. Originally from New Jersey, Gonzalez moved her family to Maryland because of a shooting that occurred near her home. Gonzalez thought about giving her children the best chance at life. Gonzalez became a social activist after the senseless shooting death of her beautiful daughter, Aaliyah Gonzalez, at a block party in Baltimore, MD. The very reason why she moved out of state was now her fate.
Gonzalez remains grounded in spirituality and core values while speaking out about social injustices that are destroying our communities. Gonzalez is the founder of Redirecting Our Culture Inc, a nonprofit organization designed to empower and support communities affected by violence.”
To nourish your creative side, the Enoch Pratt Library team is kindly providing a watercolor painting experience for our mothers after our luncheon, discussion, and gifts.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Registration for this event is now closed.
